And check out OUR NEWLY LISTED ITEMS. This is a fantastic full-color cardstock poster print of the cover to Action Comics #1, the classic comic issue which introduced Superman, and is arguably the most important comic book in history. There is no information on either the front or the back side (which is blank), regarding publishing information or the date these were made. This is the original name for DC National Periodical Publications, Inc. , and is also found in the same spot on the classic comic covers plaques that were made in the mid-1970’s (I believe mainly in 1974). So that would indicate these were made at the same time, particularly as there is an identical version of this in plaque form that came out in 1974. It is in very good undisplayed condition, with no pinholes, tears, or other major wear commonly seen on vintage posters or prints, and measures approximately 10″ by 14″. It’s on a cardstock type of paper, which is flexible, but thick enough that it can’t really be rolled. This is an amazing Superman collectible, and should be in the collection of every true fan. It would look fantastic displayed, particularly if you decide to have it framed. The cover to Action Comics #1 is likely the most important and most recognized cover to ever grace a comic book. It is also one of the most distinctive covers ever done, since Superman is of course regarded as a hero, not a menace throwing cars around. Action #1 is the all-time classic comic issue which featured the introduction, 1st appearance, and origin of Superman (Clark Kent), who along with Batman would become one of the 2 most important comic figures of the 20th century. Also features the first appearance of Lois Lane and Zatara in this issue. Originally published in June of 1938 by DC Comics, this is the single most valuable comic ever published, with values established well into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. It included story and art by legendary creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, who launched their famous creation in this issue. The cover features no text at all, and simply features the first-ever image of the Man of Steel, who has seemingly gone out of control. To overstate the importance of this issue would really not be possible, as it is a landmark not only in comic history, but in pop culture and American history as well. This issue launched the comic book explosion and Golden Age, so it is hard to think of a comic cover that a collector could more proudly display. These prints are incredibly difficult to find, and very rarely surface for sale. Don’t miss a rare opportunity to add this fantastic piece to your collection. 43 of the posters themselves are laminated! One poster is brand new and still rolled up and shrink wrapped. I will definitely entertain serious offers. Here are the posters that you are getting (I don’t remember the names of these posters so I’ll try my best). The Mighty Avengers #1/Jessica Jones’ baby and avengers – double sided poster. Exclusive Marvel’s The Avengers poster (you could only get this poster if you preordered the blu-ray/DVD) – the lamination was a bit crinkled (see pic). Crisis from Infinite Earths (direct from DC, was a promo poster from the 80’s). Roughly 24 x 32. Batman 75th anniversary poster (this poster originally was folded up and laminated after). Spider-Man shooting web directly into camera. Spider-Man swinging over Chelsea Piers. The Amazing Spider-Man and the Savage Wolverine (Direct from Marvel). Spider-Man Season One (poster has lamination wrinkles). Flashpoint (Flash running through a city park). Superman in a dark logo in front of an eclipse. Superman heat vision – has lamination wrinkles. Superman flying in the sky. Elektra Assassin (direct from Marvel) – has lamination wrinkles. Captain Marvel (Shazam) by Jeff Ross. Supergirl by Jeff Ross (has a small crease in the middle). Avengers New 52 group pose. Justice League Minimalist The Wolverine movie poster in Japanese brush painting. X-Men First Class with Collosus and Wolverine. The Women of Marvel. Justice League of America JLA #1. Justice League lineup (Lantern corp colored background). Captain America in the night throwing his shield. Marvel The Lineup 2012 there are two of these, one of them is very badly wrinkled from lamination and the other does have lamination wrinkles. The one pictured is the more presentable one. Marvel The Lineup 2015 (still in shrink wrap but not pictured). Wolverine (direct from Marvel). Captain Marvel Shazam by Jeff Smith (direct from DC) – this poster was double laminated since it had some wrinkles in the lamination (see pic). Batman in the batcave. Batman in a lightning storm. Wonder Woman running through her own poster. Birds of Prey with Oracle in the middle. Original X-Men running through their own poster. Fantastic Four in outer space. I took many of these posters to Staples and they ended up wrinkling some of the posters. I would say they are still hangable though. Some of these posters were double laminated and can be extra stiff compared to the others. Contact me if you want to know which ones, but I don’t think that would matter if you’re just hanging them up. If you are unsure about the posters, please ask. I try to be as accurate as I can about the posters. This will be shopped in a rather large box that is about 3.5 ft wide.
