Somebody Please Stop Me! Gallery Show Poster from. New York Comics Arts Gallery. Rare “Somebody Please Stop Me” Berni Wrightson Poster. Severed head & limbs, Controversial, Signed, from 1977. Size: 18 1/4″ wide X 24″ high. Heavy flat, manila-like paper. An original, and quite striking, vintage Art Gallery Promotional Poster from nearly 40 years ago, promoting an Art Showing of the legendary Horror – Fantasy Artist Berni Wrightson at The New York Comics Art Gallery, from October 1st through the 31st (Halloween), 1977. Depicts the highly-controversial image of a decapitated Human head sitting on a severed stack of hands and feet with an axe buried in a cracked wall, with the words (written in blood by a Murderer) “Somebody Please Stop Me”. These are extremely difficult to come by and needless to say in high demand with the recent passing (March 18, 2017) of Berni Wrightson. This piece has been in a frame (19×25) and protected for years in a smoke free home. Ships rolled in a cardboard tube. An Investment-quality artifact from Wrightson’s early career. Printed in a very small edition. A great and rare addition to your collection!
