In 2002, his work was shown to the editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics, who entrusted to him with the art for the Secret War mini-series. “Secret War #4″ is an extremely limited edition giclee on canvas by Gabriele Dell’Otto presented by Marvel Comics, hand signed by the great Stan Lee and numbered out of only 10! Jazz n’ Fun’s Club. Blacksad is a five-album police and animal comic book series by Juan Díaz Canales and Juanjo Guarnido. The stories take place in a film noir atmosphere, in the United States in the 1950s. All characters are anthropomorphic animals whose species reflects character as well as role in the story. The hero, John Blacksad, is a white-nosed black cat serving as a private investigator. The dark atmosphere of thriller is as much rendered by graphics as by a typical play of voiceovers, replicas, and expressive silences. Watercolor coloring, as well as the influence of Juanjo Guarnido’s work in animation at Disney Studios, gives a real impression of movement. The center of the poster features Superman standing on a podium trophy style with the podium bearing “Commemorating Superman’s Diamond Anniversary 1938 – 75 – 2013″. Above Superman’s head is the iconic S. To the left and right of Superman are images commemorating various stages of the history including 75, 65, 35, 25, 40 and 20 years. The text across the top of the poster is “35 Years of Celebrating the Legacy of the Man of Steel”. Dulaney 2013 is to the right of Superman’s leg. Signature to the right of the Superman Celebration 2013 logo. See photos for signature, it looks like it is the artists signature. Measures about 11″ by 17″ Printed on a thick stock.
