And check out OUR NEWLY LISTED ITEMS. This is a great rare poster print set for the Watchmen series, released by DC Comics in 1988. Each poster print measures approximately 9 3/4″ by 14 3/4″, and is printed on smooth glossy-type cardstock. They feature the classic images of the covers to Issue #1-12, surrounded by a black border (the border is printed as part of the image, and is not matting or a separate piece). Printed underneath the cover image in the bottom black border is the following. Issue 1: AT MIDNIGHT, ALL THE AGENTS… Issue 2: “ABSENT FRIENDS”. Issue 3: “THE JUDGE OF ALL THE EARTH”. Issue 5: “FEARFUL SYMMETRY”. Issue 6: “THE ABYSS GAZES ALSO”. Issue 7: “A BROTHER TO DRAGONS”. Issue 8: “OLD GHOSTS”. Issue 9: “THE DARKNESS OF MERE BEING”. Issue 10: TWO RIDERS WERE APPROACHING… Issue 11: LOOK ON MY WORKS, YE MIGHTY… Issue 12: “A STRONGER LOVING WORLD”. The prints featuring these spectacular covers were produced in small numbers and are fairly hard to find. The Watchmen introduced such great characters as Dr. Manhattan, Rorschach, The Comedian, Silk Spectre, Nite Owl, and Ozymandias, and brought a depth and realism to comics that it had arguably never seen before. It is one of Moore’s finest works, ranking up there with Batman The Killing Joke, Miracleman, V For Vendetta, From Hell, the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and Saga of the Swamp Thing. The Watchmen is considered by many to be the greatest comic book work ever created, and is certainly the most important and influential work produced in comics in the last 25-30 years. Unused deadstock set of original Marvel fanclub posters from the FOOM era! Rs by the best artists of the early Marvel Era as follows. Amazing Spiderman #68 by Joghn Romita. Avengers #4 by Jack Kirby. Captain America #111 by Jim Steranko. Conan #4 by Barry Windsor-Smith. Daredevil #44 by Gene Colan. Incredible Hulk #1 by Jack Kirby. Mighty Thor 127 by Jack Kirby. Namor, The Sub-Mariner #1 by John Buscema. Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD #6 by Jim Steranko. Sgt Fury and His Howling Commandos #50 by John Severin. Silver Surfer #3 by. These are approximately 12×19. Inches each, printed on a better than newsprint, but not much paper stock. Youll notice what appears to be some pencil writing in some of the pics, this is because the prints were photographed on an easel, on top of a work in progress – the pencil you see is NOT on the prints, its on the board behind them that propped them up for photographing. The ones we did not photograph are the fromt posters in the pics that show them spread out on the easel. There are a few minor imperfections as to be expected after careful storage for 40 years, but these are few and far between, included tiny edge and corner imperfections. The paper has discolored very slightly. You can see how slight by looking at the individual pics, the board behind them is only 4-5 years old and has been stored in an opaque sleeve, so the whites are comparable. Youll find no pinholes, tape, staple holes, etc. These have been stored flat in an opaque envelope since acquisition. Ships insured, in heavy cardboard tube.
