An original 20-3/4 inch high by 28 inch wide black & white poster by the artist & art professor John Fawcett for the OK Harris Gallery exhibition of his work. The vivid black & white image uses pop imagery of Mickey Mouse and other comic characters, including Felix the Cat, Betty Boop, Donald Duck, et al. Depicted through anamorphic and laser distortions. The gallery’s name is printed on the verso with the recipient’s name typed on the opposite panel with the postmark at the top right corner of that panel. Folded for mailing with a couple of tiny holes at the junction of folds. The American artist John Fawcett is a professor at the University of Connecticut and owner of the Maine Antique Toy & Art Museum. The museum’s collection inspires his drawings and paintings which draw on the pop culture imagery of the objects and comics which he transforms through anamorphic and laser distortions.
