HUGE wholesale lot 250+ Marvel Comic Book Poster Original Art Prints Collection
This is for an entire 250+ print lot. Somewhere between 250-275 with most being double-sided. To be clear, these. Are officially licensed 11″ x 17″ reproductions of the original comic book art. While each piece appears to be in black and white at first glace, they are actually in color, enabling you to see all the subtle nuances that make original art unique such as paste-overs, blue pencils in the art, editorial notes, art corrections, zip-a-tone, Duoshade, whiteout – all of which are clearly visible in the majority of these! In addition, each one is printed the same size as originally drawn, and the paper selected is as close as possible to the original art board. Beginning in the 1970’s, various publishers and artists started releasing portfolio sets which would include several oversized reproduction prints of original artwork, printed on a heavier paper than your normal comic book. Since then, many art and poster books, have been released with that same idea – to memorialize these gorgeous pieces of art in a brighter and larger format than the original comic books allowed. In recent years, IDW has really stepped to the forefront of preserving the works of many great artists by releasing their oversized hardcover format known as Artist’s Editions. Once I started removing the art from their original binding and placing them on my own walls at home, I realized that many other fans would love to have the same thing adorn their walls. Again, these are all officially licensed – I do NOT sell unlicensed prints or copies. Will field reasonable offers but keep in mind that it mind that location will come into play because of the weight of all of these. Includes artists like Jim Lee, John Romita. John Buscema, Todd McFarlane, Mike Zeck, & Gil Kane with characters such as. Spider-Man, X-Men, Punisher, Captain America, and so on and so on are included in the stack. There may be some with very slight imperfections like a bent corner here or there but 90%+ I would consider to be brand new. Sizes range but the majority would be 11×16 or 12×16. Prints may vary slightly from photos shown. Thanks for taking a look at this item from Grant’s Comics! After being a comic fan since the age of two with Amazing Spider-Man #170, I decided to start up a social media account in 2020 which led to me creating one of the more popular comic boxes on the internet check’em out by searching for Grant’s Comics unboxing videos! And now I’m branching out into other storefronts. In a world with so much negativity, comics have always been a great escape; regardless if you’re reading them, collecting them, or both. Please check out my other listings and don’t hesitate to ask any questions!

Original NEVER FOLDED 1972 Amazing Spider-man Buddah Records Marvel Comic POSTER
NOTE: THIS LISTING IS FOR THE EXTREMELY SCARCE UNFOLDED VERSION OF THIS ORIGINAL 1972 SPIDER-MAN POSTER ONLY. THIS LISTING DOES NOT INCLUDE THE ALBUM ITSELF. This is a rare vintage original 1972 Amazing Spiderman Buddah Records “Rockcomic” POSTER (not the album itself). SIZE: This scarce and spectacular Spidey poster measures about 22 1/4 inches by 22 1/4 inches. This variant version of this iconic poster is ROLLED AND WAS NEVER FOLDED, unlike other versions you may see. CONDITION: This rare vintage Spidey poster is in VERY FINE/NEAR MINT CONDITION, it was NEVER FOLDED, AND IT HAS NEVER BEEN DISPLAYED. It’s still bright and colorful! So it’s beyond rare! This Marvel Universe poster features the wall-crawling artwork of golden age, silver age, alaa and bronze age Marvelmania Era artist JOHN ROMITA SR, who had a long happy run as the main artist on the Amazing Spider-man comic books from the mid 1960’s to the early 1970’s! VERY IMPORTANT INFO: Unlike the other 1972 Spidey posters that came folded inside the old 33 1/3 lp vinyl record albums, this’72 Spider-man Rock Comic promotional poster is ROLLED and was NEVER folded, making it much more rare, desirable, and displayable than the folded version! It was set aside for over 30 years and escaped being folded during the manufacturing process and avoided being put in the albums during production. And THAT’S what makes this 1970’s poster so very sought after! And of course, this listing is for the poster only, and not for the Spider-man album itself. And like the more common 70’s posters included inside the album sleeve, this poster has the album info on the back of it saying which actor spoke which character’s voice, etc. It’s the real deal, totally original, and I just might be the last person on earth who has the extremely scarce unfolded version.

Original 1973 Batman posterVintage 34 1/2 x 24 DC Detective Comics pin up, 1970s
This is the SUPER RARE VINTAGE ORIGINAL 1973 BATMAN POSTER, and it features the artwork of long-time silver age Batman and Brave and the Bold artist CARMINE INFANTINO. This 1970’s Dark Knight detective poster was produced by a company called Studio One of Holmes, Pennsylvania. SIZE: This scarce original Batman poster measures about 34 1/2 inches by 24 inches. NOTE: Those small silver things you see on the edges of the poster are just magnets, so the photos could be taken. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: This extremely scarce Batman poster is the ORIGINAL 1973 VERSION, not the later version that was re-released later in 1976. That’s great news! CONDITION NOTES (see photos): This’73 poster has NEVER BEEN DISPLAYED, it still retains it’s gorgeous colors, it has some tanning (discoloration) on the back side of the poster from all the decades in storage, some minor crinkles, and some light creasing from being stored rolled up all these years. With that in mind, I’d grade this extremely rare poster as “fine/very fine” condition (using comic book grading terms). I’m 100 percent certain that many other poster sellers and collectors would grade this poster higher (or not inform you of these imperfections), but I prefer to grade more conservatively. It’s incredible this scarce poster even survived the 1970’s, 1980’s, 1990’s, the 2000’s, and now. There can’t be many of these posters left in existence after all these years!

1986 Watchmen Rorschach Original Promo Poster Gibbons Art Alan Moore Scum Earth

1986 Watchmen Rorschach Original Promo Poster Gibbons Art Alan Moore Scum Earth
And check out OUR NEWLY LISTED ITEMS. This is an original unused promotional poster for the Watchmen series, released by DC Comics in 1986. It features a great image of Rorschach with his back turned, walking down an alley, with the quote above him’You know what I wish? I wish all the scum of the Earth had one throat and I had my hands about it. The familiar sideways Watchmen title logo is on the left side, and at the bottom is stated “A 12 Issue Deluxe Series By Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons”. The poster is in very good undisplayed condition, with no pinholes, tears, or other major wear commonly seen on vintage posters or prints, and measures approximately 15″ by 22″ when unfolded and is blank on the reverse side. There are a few small indentation marks that are not that visible unless you look closely. There is a small black spot in the black area between the words “all” and “the” at the bottom (does not really show in the scan) that might be removed by being scratched or wiped off, but we have left it as-is. You don’t really see it unless you hold the poster at an angle towards light. This is a very cool and rare comic collectible, as they were for promotional use and were not made for resale. Promotional posters like this one were not mass-produced or available to the general public, and were often thrown away, so to find a classic one like this that is more than 30 years old and has not been pinned with tacks or taped is rare indeed. The Watchmen introduced such great characters as Dr. Manhattan, Rorschach, The Comedian, Silk Spectre, Nite Owl, and Ozymandias, and brought a depth and realism to comics that it had arguably never seen before. It is one of Moore’s finest works, ranking up there with Batman The Killing Joke, Miracleman, V For Vendetta, From Hell, the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and Saga of the Swamp Thing. The Watchmen is considered by many to be the greatest comic book work ever created, and is certainly the most important and influential work produced in comics in the last 25-30 years. This is a great item for any fan of this landmark series, and would look fantastic framed and prominently displayed. Check out our other auctions for more great items. Check it out, you’ll be glad you did!
