The Rocketeer Movie Print – this is the GOLD Limited General Edition – each print was signed and numbered in pencil by Dave Stevens. This is #241 of the only 500 copies. It was created in 1991 by Walt Disney company to commemorate the movie. FYI: the golden metallic border was applied via Serigraphy. The print is approximately 20″ by 39″ and is in very good condition – typical of this grade are the following: it has light shelf wear, a few creases on the edges, dimples and 1 1/2″ by 1/8″ area where the gold metallic finish is curling. The 22 1/” by 23″ print is in like new condition with light shelf wear and some foxing. The sleeve has some foxing, creases and sun shadows. It was produced in 1992 by Harris Publications. This is an original, numbered and signed print-poster, created by Bill Watterson for the exhibit Taking Aim: American Political Cartooning 1986 at Rosenfeld Gallery in Philadelphia, PA, August 3-24, 1986. This is print number 19/50, signed (printed name) by Bill Watterson. Artists caricature of Ronald Reagan is used for the design; Watterson was a political cartoonist early in his career. This is NOT a reprint or copy. As one internet “cartoonist aficionado” noted on his website. Limited to 50 copies makes this the absolute rarest piece of Wattersonity in all the universe. Take my advice: Give up on finding it. However, lacquered wooden frame has small blemishes; see photos.
