This is a full-color proof page with printing on both sides of the page. It has printer color code bars going across the top, and features Todd McFarlane’s classic Spidey vs. Doctor Octopus cover from Marvel Tales #224 on one side, and his vicious Sabretooth cover from Amazing Spiderman #324 on the other side! The proof measures approximately 8 1/2″ by 11 1/2″. Please note this is NOT a mass-produced print or lithograph. It is a proof that is created during the production process for the comic, and used internally by the comic company. The piece is in very good condition, with some light edgewear, and a small ding out of the side (which is not visible in the picture, did not come out in the scan). The piece features 2 of the greatest McSpidey covers of Todd McFarlane’s legendary career. MacFarlane first became well-known drawing Incredible Hulk, Amazing Spider-man, and Spiderman, before leaving Marvel Comics to co-found Image Comics, where he created the Spawn franchise. But among all the art he did throughout the years, there is little question that his Spiderman work is probably the most highly-regarded by fans.
