Please scroll down for more photos. 1971 Robert Lewis Madstar Comic Cover Art Poster. Fresh from a Dallas Estate comes this poster celebrating The Issue of Madstar by Steve Hickman. This example features an astronaut serenading some creatures on a foreign planet with his rocket in the background. This is not a comic book but the artwork for the cover of an issue of the comic book. It is a vintage poster, not original art. The image is in good condition but has some stains and damage along the margins. It has some writing on the back that reads “Robert Lewis 6412 Dorset Drive Alexandria Virginia 22310″. This poster measures approx. 20 x 14 inches. Please see pictures below and ask questions if you have any. All photos are of actual item offered.
This is the SUPER RARE VINTAGE ORIGINAL 1973 BATMAN POSTER, and it features the artwork of long-time silver age Batman and Brave and the Bold artist CARMINE INFANTINO. This 1970’s Dark Knight detective poster was produced by a company called Studio One of Holmes, Pennsylvania. SIZE: This scarce original Batman poster measures about 34 1/2 inches by 24 inches. NOTE: Those small silver things you see on the edges of the poster are just magnets, so the photos could be taken. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: This extremely scarce Batman poster is the ORIGINAL 1973 VERSION, not the later version that was re-released later in 1976. That’s great news! CONDITION NOTES (see photos): This’73 poster has NEVER BEEN DISPLAYED, it still retains it’s gorgeous colors, it has some tanning (discoloration) on the back side of the poster from all the decades in storage, some minor crinkles, and some light creasing from being stored rolled up all these years. With that in mind, I’d grade this extremely rare poster as “fine/very fine” condition (using comic book grading terms). I’m 100 percent certain that many other poster sellers and collectors would grade this poster higher (or not inform you of these imperfections), but I prefer to grade more conservatively. It’s incredible this scarce poster even survived the 1970’s, 1980’s, 1990’s, the 2000’s, and now. There can’t be many of these posters left in existence after all these years!
NOTE: THIS LISTING IS FOR THE EXTREMELY SCARCE UNFOLDED VERSION OF THIS ORIGINAL 1972 SPIDER-MAN POSTER ONLY. THIS LISTING DOES NOT INCLUDE THE ALBUM ITSELF. This is a rare vintage original 1972 Amazing Spiderman Buddah Records “Rockcomic” POSTER (not the album itself). SIZE: This scarce and spectacular Spidey poster measures about 22 1/4 inches by 22 1/4 inches. This variant version of this iconic poster is ROLLED AND WAS NEVER FOLDED, unlike other versions you may see. CONDITION: This rare vintage Spidey poster is in VERY FINE/NEAR MINT CONDITION, it was NEVER FOLDED, AND IT HAS NEVER BEEN DISPLAYED. It’s still bright and colorful! So it’s beyond rare! This Marvel Universe poster features the wall-crawling artwork of golden age, silver age, alaa and bronze age Marvelmania Era artist JOHN ROMITA SR, who had a long happy run as the main artist on the Amazing Spider-man comic books from the mid 1960’s to the early 1970’s! VERY IMPORTANT INFO: Unlike the other 1972 Spidey posters that came folded inside the old 33 1/3 lp vinyl record albums, this’72 Spider-man Rock Comic promotional poster is ROLLED and was NEVER folded, making it much more rare, desirable, and displayable than the folded version! It was set aside for over 30 years and escaped being folded during the manufacturing process and avoided being put in the albums during production. And THAT’S what makes this 1970’s poster so very sought after! And of course, this listing is for the poster only, and not for the Spider-man album itself. And like the more common 70’s posters included inside the album sleeve, this poster has the album info on the back of it saying which actor spoke which character’s voice, etc. It’s the real deal, totally original, and I just might be the last person on earth who has the extremely scarce unfolded version.
1970s Coca-Cola Bottle Radio Poster 30″x20″. Appears this bottle and poster was offered/produced in the mid to late 70s. No date on poster. Poster has never been folded. Looks like maybe the rolled up poster got a bit squashed at some point. Poster has light staining on bottom right. Please zoom photos to see other issues. Pint glasses not included. What you see pictured is the item you’ll receive. Comes from a smoke free home. Check out my other auctions and come back often!
