You are purchasing the item pictured, framed. Item will be bagged to protect from dust, packed in packing peanuts and boxed. Just open box and hang it on the wall… Makes a perfect gift! When they weren’t breathing new life into Green Lantern, Denny O’Neil and Neal Adams were taking Batman back to his dark, baleful roots – with a touch of gothic horror thrown in for good measure. It was a refreshing change in tone following the high camp of the late’60s and the Batman TV show era. Adams’ striking covers of the early’70s invariably featured swooping man-bats, ominous barren trees, nooses, cemeteries, and fog enshrouded castles – even as the interior stores centered, like this one does, on katate-style fight scenes. The League of Assassins in this cover could almost be a pack of zombies or ghouls from beyond the grave. They are, in fact, an elite army of killers created by Ra’s al Ghul, the deathless wraith who emerged as the Dark Knight Detective’s principal tormentor during this period and whose morbid visage looms over many a classic Neal Adams comics. The League of Assassins was founded by Ra’s al Ghul (exactly when is unknown) to be “the fang that protects the head” (Batgirl #67, 2005). Members of the League demonstrated willingness to die at a word from Ra’s. They have included some of the most dangerous assassins in the world including Lady Shiva, David Cain, and Merlyn. For much of its current history, any member who failed in an assassination was in turn targeted by the League. Indeed, one of its best-known members, the master-archer Merlyn, was eventually forced to flee from the League, fearing for his life, having failed to assassinate Batman. In more recent years, this policy has apparently relaxed somewhat. Ebeneezer Darcel, aka Doctor Darrk, was the first known individual assigned to head the League of Assassins by Ra’s al Ghul. Darrk himself was seconded by The Sensei, a martial arts master from Hong Kong. Although many of the League’s leaders over the years have been accomplished martial artists, Darrk himself did not depend on physical prowess, and as an assassin he instead relied upon careful planning and manipulation, ambushes and death traps, as well as a variety of cleverly concealed weapons and poisons. Although the League apparently had an inner circle of elite fighters as well as a large number of warriors trained in the martial arts, the League during Darrk’s tenure as leader reflected his personal methodology. Neal Adams (born June 15, 1941) is an American comic book and commercial artist known for helping to create some of the definitive modern imagery of the DC Comics characters Superman, Batman, and Green Arrow; as the co-founder of the graphic design studio Continuity Associates; and as a creators-rights advocate who helped secure a pension and recognition for Superman creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Adams was inducted into the Eisner Award’s Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 1998, and the Harvey Awards’ Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1999. Original NEVER FOLDED 1972 Amazing Spider-man Buddah Records Marvel Comic POSTER

Original NEVER FOLDED 1972 Amazing Spider-man Buddah Records Marvel Comic POSTER
NOTE: THIS LISTING IS FOR THE EXTREMELY SCARCE UNFOLDED VERSION OF THIS ORIGINAL 1972 SPIDER-MAN POSTER ONLY. THIS LISTING DOES NOT INCLUDE THE ALBUM ITSELF. This is a rare vintage original 1972 Amazing Spiderman Buddah Records “Rockcomic” POSTER (not the album itself). SIZE: This scarce and spectacular Spidey poster measures about 22 1/4 inches by 22 1/4 inches. This variant version of this iconic poster is ROLLED AND WAS NEVER FOLDED, unlike other versions you may see. CONDITION: This rare vintage Spidey poster is in VERY FINE/NEAR MINT CONDITION, it was NEVER FOLDED, AND IT HAS NEVER BEEN DISPLAYED. It’s still bright and colorful! So it’s beyond rare! This Marvel Universe poster features the wall-crawling artwork of golden age, silver age, alaa and bronze age Marvelmania Era artist JOHN ROMITA SR, who had a long happy run as the main artist on the Amazing Spider-man comic books from the mid 1960’s to the early 1970’s! VERY IMPORTANT INFO: Unlike the other 1972 Spidey posters that came folded inside the old 33 1/3 lp vinyl record albums, this’72 Spider-man Rock Comic promotional poster is ROLLED and was NEVER folded, making it much more rare, desirable, and displayable than the folded version! It was set aside for over 30 years and escaped being folded during the manufacturing process and avoided being put in the albums during production. And THAT’S what makes this 1970’s poster so very sought after! And of course, this listing is for the poster only, and not for the Spider-man album itself. And like the more common 70’s posters included inside the album sleeve, this poster has the album info on the back of it saying which actor spoke which character’s voice, etc. It’s the real deal, totally original, and I just might be the last person on earth who has the extremely scarce unfolded version.

This is the SUPER RARE VINTAGE ORIGINAL 1973 BATMAN POSTER, and it features the artwork of long-time silver age Batman and Brave and the Bold artist CARMINE INFANTINO. This 1970’s Dark Knight detective poster was produced by a company called Studio One of Holmes, Pennsylvania. SIZE: This scarce original Batman poster measures about 34 1/2 inches by 24 inches. NOTE: Those small silver things you see on the edges of the poster are just magnets, so the photos could be taken. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: This extremely scarce Batman poster is the ORIGINAL 1973 VERSION, not the later version that was re-released later in 1976. That’s great news! CONDITION NOTES (see photos): This’73 poster has NEVER BEEN DISPLAYED, it still retains it’s gorgeous colors, it has some tanning (discoloration) on the back side of the poster from all the decades in storage, some minor crinkles, and some light creasing from being stored rolled up all these years. With that in mind, I’d grade this extremely rare poster as “fine/very fine” condition (using comic book grading terms). I’m 100 percent certain that many other poster sellers and collectors would grade this poster higher (or not inform you of these imperfections), but I prefer to grade more conservatively. It’s incredible this scarce poster even survived the 1970’s, 1980’s, 1990’s, the 2000’s, and now. There can’t be many of these posters left in existence after all these years!

Spider-Man Hulk Promotional Poster Oversized 24x48 Folded 1990 Marvel Comics

Spider-Man Hulk Promotional Poster Oversized 24x48 Folded 1990 Marvel Comics
Spider-Man Hulk Promotional Poster Oversized Marvel Comics Folded 1990. This is a 1990 Direct Market comic book store promotional poster featuring Spider-Man and the gray Hulk, produced by Marvel Comics. The poster measures approx: 24? X 48. This makes promotional items in the comics book world extremely rare and hard to find if you consider many are used to cover windows (fading), taped to windows, counters, walls (damage from tape or pins) and or just thrown away after use (less numbers around today). Any “shiny” marks are from the light reflecting off the coating on the item, and are not a printing defect.
