And check out OUR NEWLY LISTED ITEMS. This is a rare original unused promo poster for the epic DC Comics Legends series from 1986. It features artwork by the legendary John Byrne. Byrne is a true legend spanning 4 decades in comics as both a writer and artist, and is known for his classic runs on the Uncanny X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Alpha Flight, and She-Hulk, as well as for revamping the Man of Steel during DC’s overhaul of the Superman character in the 1980’s, and this is a truly classic straight-on pin-up image that includes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel Shazam! , and Justice League of America and Teen Titans members like the Flash, Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Beast Boy, Firestorm, Dr. Fate, J’onn J’onzz the Martian Manhunter, the Elongated Man, and Robin. The poster is in very good condition, with no pinholes, tears, or other major wear commonly seen on vintage posters or prints, but please note it does have some age spotting (foxing) on the back. It measures approximately 16″ by 22″ when unfolded and is blank on the reverse side. Also, the colors are richer and deeper than what came out in the image. This is a very cool and rare comic collectible, as they were for promotional use and were not made for resale. Promotional posters like this one were not mass-produced or available to the general public, and were often thrown away, so to find a classic one like this that is more than 30 years old and has not been pinned with tacks or taped is rare indeed. This is an outstanding piece that would look fantastic framed, and would be a great addition to the collection of any Byrne or D. Check out our other auctions for more great items. 177 out of 500 lithoserigraph highlighting the raging power of the incredible Hulk by artist Dave Cockrum. This Hulk lithoseriagraph began with an original hand-painted background, created by Joe Jusko. The image of the character was drawn by Dave. Using the original background, P. McNerney reproduced the image using four-color offset lithography. The character image was then silk-screened on the background using the fine art screen-printing process of color reproduction. Bears the official Marvel Comics logo and signed by Stan Lee himself. Included is a 4 x 6 color photo of Stan Lee signing the edition. Frame measures 19 inches length x 22.5 inches tall. Inside artwork measures 12 inches length x 15.5 inches tall. About The Incredible Hulk. DESCRIPTION: SEVA Benefit concert “Blues For Blindness”. MEDIUM: Hand pulled silkscreen on very heavy duty oak tag stock. Surface feels like velvet. Very high quality silkscreen. MEASURES : 30″ x 20″ (76 cm x 51 cm). Poster was used for a SEVA benefit concert at the Berkeley Community Theater on 1/25/1992. This poster was a collaboration between Robert Crumb and Alton Kelley. Only 200 were produced. Performances by John Lee Hooker, Hot Tuna with special guest Bob Weir (Grateful Dead), Dr. John, Lisa Kindred, Roy Rogers, Joe Louis Walker, Wavy Gravy (MC) and More!
