Provenance & authentication history: All signatures were obtained by me in person during early-era creator signing events in the mid-1990s, during the formative period of Bongo Comics and the peak cultural era of The Simpsons’ initial expansion into comic publishing. Prior to submission to CBCS, the signatures were independently authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). Copies of the notarized JSA letters of authenticity documenting this earlier authentication will be included with the sale. CBCS subsequently verified the signatures and encapsulated the book. CBCS notes a moderate amount of tape on the back cover, which is reflected in the assigned grade. This is a scarce multi-signed early Simpsons key issue, enhanced by its foil cover and original insert completeness, appealing to Simpsons collectors, animation memorabilia collectors, and comic art enthusiasts alike.
